‘Every aspect of business and personal development is for the greater good, and serves a higher purpose’ – Leonard Mattis
Born and raised in London’s East End, Leonard Mattis started his hairdressing career in a small local salon on East Ham High Street. His talent and passion saw him quickly move on to the highly acclaimed Smiths Salon, located in the heart of Soho, London.
Moving to Australia in 1998, Leonard began working as Artistic Director for award winning hairdresser Antony Whitaker, and in 2002 founded the Leonard Mattis Studio. The studio was a private oasis in the middle of Sydney that offered style, service and an experience unlike any other.
To celebrate ten years in operation 2012 saw the studio expand and add a second level – a multi-purpose site that provided a rare fusion of local art and high-end styling. Whilst functioning as a working salon the studio became a sought after exhibition space by emerging talent wanting to showcase their work outside of traditional gallery display.
Extending on the success of his Sydney studio, and now with almost twenty years experience in the beauty industry and fifteen as an entrepreneur, 2017/18 sees Leonard launch his new venture – M Global. M Global is an international product and service provider guiding and supporting others to connect to their true nature; whose primary offerings include a range of Australian Hair & Body products and a world first virtual experience of World Heritage Listed Kakadu National Park.
In addition to directing M Global and its philanthropic pursuits, and operating his brand strategy consultancy practice, Leonard is also an emerging thought leader in the spheres of human potential, social and cultural evolution.
